The Hunt

No Shit, There We Were...

We were standing on one of the ranch’s dirt roads after dark. The lights from a dust covered pickup truck providing the only illumination. David, a first time hunter, had shot a big boar right at dusk. The shot had broken the boar’s shoulder, but was not immediately fatal. We could hear the beast angrily rooting around in the bushes just past the road.

Wild boar are no joke. They’re strong, can be hard to kill, and will easily maim humans and hunting dogs with their tusks. No one wanted to go searching through thick brush in the dark, looking for this pissed off and injured pig.  “Let’s get the Special Forces guys over here,” the guide suggested. “They brought night vision and thermals.”

20 minutes later, two Green Berets from our hunting group showed up with their carbines and night vision gear, just as expected. Together they confidently walked into the brush. A minute later the silence was pierced by 11 rapid succession semi-automatic rifle shots, and then one final shot from a .45 caliber pistol. The end result is the first picture you see to your left, and just about the best first hunting experience anyone could ever ask for.

Does this mean you’re guaranteed action like this at the hunt? We wish we could say yes, but that’s a decision that only Lady Luck and Mother Nature get to make. But what we can guarantee is that if you’re not at the hunt, there’s a 100% chance of that situation not happening to you.

Ask yourself this question: Do I want to spend 4 days at a rural Texas hunting lodge with a small group of down to earth, humble, yet amazing people – a group that includes combat experienced warriors like Green Berets, Navy SEALs, Recon Marines, and Tier 1 Operators?

One of the Green Berets is willing to share his answer with you. He calls this event "The most fun thing I do all year."

If you’re a novice or completely inexperienced hunter, there’s no event better suited to teaching you how to shoot and hunt than this one. If you’re looking for a decompressing long weekend break from the world, are interested in sitting around the fire and listening to war stories, or you’re interested in informal shooting instruction from some of the finest shooters on the planet, this event might just be for you.

Consider this your opportunity to apply. We enforce a strict "No Asshole" rule at this event, so payment acceptance will be conditional upon individual attendee approval.

There are a maximum of 15 seats to this event that are listed for sale, and by the time you read this, some of those will have been claimed by past participants. The rest are invitation only. What are you waiting for?
